Old Photographs & Painted Paddles by local Artists
May 15th the Art Room will have a display of Old Photographs of Bobcaygeon & Residents for the 150th Celebration & Painted Paddles by local Artists, until July 6th, at which time some of the paddles will be auctioned off.

Canada Day Celebrations
Time to celebrate – since 1985
its our 41st anniversay of activities in town!
Don’t miss the biggest Canada Day party ever in the Kawartha Lakes as we celebrate Canada’s 159th anniversary of Confederation on July 1, 2026! Two official sites will feature family friendly programming on the day, including live entertainment, children/adult games and races, as well as the spectacular Canada Day fireworks, which will be taking place around 10:00 p.m. on the evening of July 1!
And yes, it’s all free!

94 Dunn street will be buzzing with excitement
10:30 am-1:00pm: children’s races, hot dogs and drinks – fun for the whole family. Birthday cake and cupcakes generously donated by Strang’s Your Independent Grocer, ice cream generously donated by Kawartha Dairy
2:30 pm: Celebration Parade beginning at Market Square (marshalling at 2pm), along Main, Bolton, King Street and to the Bobcaygeon Community Center.
Beach Park
10pm: Fireworks. The result is a dazzling and perfectly synchronized 360-degree fireworks extravaganza! Keep in mind the fireworks show is weather dependent – rain date is July 2
*****Please note: there is no parking or spectators in the beach park west parking lot to observe the firework display fall out zone*****

This year brings incredible news: the "Canada Strong" Free Lockage Summer! From June 19 to September 7, you can take your boat through the entire waterway’s lock system absolutely FREE.
While you’re enjoying the free lockage, remember to stay alert for construction delays in Bolsover and Peterborough. Standard fees still apply when the waterway first opens and again after Labor Day.

Barb has been a photographer for over 70 years. After retiring to Bobcaygeon in the early ‘90s, from a business that required total photographic concentration on specific subjects 24/7, she was free to capture anything that called to her.
No one genre in particular spoke to her, but everywhere she looked, her eye spotted a story. The straight-out-of-the-camera kind, or, an abstract one she could conjure through compositing.
She is currently experimenting with printing and mounting the results on varying paper types, from gloss and matte to linen, canvas, metallic and fine-art cardstock.

Free Locking in the Trent-Severn Waterway Begins
This year brings incredible news: the "Canada Strong" Free Lockage Summer! From June 19 to September 7, you can take your boat through the entire waterway’s lock system absolutely FREE.
While you’re enjoying the free lockage, remember to stay alert for construction delays in Bolsover and Peterborough. Standard fees still apply when the waterway first opens and again after Labor Day.
