Buckhorn Festival of the Arts
Experience a weekend of art, music, food and great company at the 2025 Buckhorn Festival of the Arts on Saturday, August 16 from 10am to 5pm; Sunday, August 17 from 10am to 4pm.
The Buckhorn Festival of the Arts brings professional, world-renowned artists from across Canada to the park-like setting of the Buckhorn Community Centre. This event originated as the first fundraising event in 1978 to help pay for the mortgage on the original buildings and land. Today, the show is known as one of the country’s premier events.
Not only does the show feature professional artists, but there’s also an Amateur Art Competition, Art Activity Zone, exhibit of youth art, and live music. As well, an annual Special Exhibit is curated by a committee of artists to bring something unique to each year’s event.
Admission is by donation. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed in buildings.

The 2025 Kinmount Fall Fair is set to take place from August 29 to 31, 2025, at the Kinmount Fairgrounds, located in Kinmount, Ontario. Established in 1872, this cherished fair celebrates its 153rd year, offering a delightful mix of agricultural showcases, family-friendly entertainment, and community spirit.
Attractions include agricultural exhibits and livestock shows, family-friendly entertainment and activities, live entertainment and community gatherings, special attractions and competitions, homecrafts and community engagement, and much more!

About
The Kawartha Carving Competition and Exhibition is an annual event that draws carvers and spectators from the Kawartha Lakes Tourist area and other Ontario regions.
The competition features judged awards in all skill and experience classes and multiple subject categories. The exhibition also includes the opportunity to buy and sell carvings, carving supplies, books, wood and tools. Visitors also enjoy hourly door prizes, demonstrations, a silent auction and an award ceremony.
The Kawartha Carving Competition and Exhibition is a presentation of the Bobcaygeon Curling Club, Caygeon Carvers, and Buckhorn Carving Club. A volunteer committee plans and operates the event with the help of community volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors.
